Enterprises today, driven by the business challenge to become more responsive, are facing two key challenges. The first is the inability to change systems rapidly enough to respond to business needs. TIBCO is leveraging the JSR 208 (JBI) specification to ensure its customers have greater choice and flexibility for deploying service infrastructure. Today, TIBCO's portfolio of enterprise backbone, business integration, business process management, and business optimization products is built on a pluggable framework that allows these products to be deployed individually or together based on the needs of the customer. By supporting JBI, TIBCO is extending its framework to support standards-based plug-and-play service infrastructure, which gives customers greater choice and lowers overall costs. Customers will no longer have to rely on proprietary, immature enterprise service buses (ESB), J2EE or .NET-based component infrastructures that do not have all the functionality required to support enterprise-wide services.
